Different Owners? Can't access file?

This is kind of complicating to explain so i'll try my best. I am using windows xp, and have just completed a norton virus scan on my computer. During the virus scan it found a virus but was unable to fix or repair it because access was denied to the file. I tried to access the file myself and again access was denied. The thing i dont understand is when i click on "start", "my computer", "C" drive, "documents & settings", there are 9 different users. 2 of which i cannot access, including one named "owner". The virus is in this file i cannot get into. How can i access these 2 files, i am the only 1 to use my computer and bought it brand new. Please Help, Thanks Chris.

Boot into safe mode, remove file. Go through Warez' guide. Remove users and their files.

ok i'll try that, but how did the other user names get there in the first place?
