difference between blog and a homepage

what is the difference between a blog and a homepage?

i mean they can both act as "journals"

Definatelly, a homepage can be a blog.

Take a peek at the definition of both terms you are using.

They are both things on the internet, but I think you're using the term homepage to mean more than it actually does.
