Hi,

Basicly, I had to install service pack 2 last night because to transfer my music files onto my phone, it required it.

I installed service pack 2, and heres what i get..

So i get this. I click restore my active desktop, and my background comes back that i had before when all was working well.

BUT

whenever i open windows such as my documents, my computer, the window opens, then locks up => have to end task with task manager.

What do i do :S ?

Btw, I have windows xp pro.

Open the Control Panel.
Open Display Properties.
Click the Desktop tab.
Click the Customize Desktop button.
Click the Web tab in the Desktop Items window.

Uncheck whatever is in there and click apply

cant open control panel, it locks up same with my comp.

Thing is, I cannot go into desktop properties tabs. I have only 1 tab, which is desktop Settings.

*Right click desktop, properties*

The reason i only have these, is because i got this hdd with xp pro on it from my uncle, and he worked for a council in england, some reason the strings arent here.

If you do have strings, tell me a download link :p

But, what i can do, is go to Nvidia properties, and change most things there.

dont have the windows xp disk.

when i built the comp, he came over, hooke deverything up, and gave me his hdd.

I tried system restore but the same problem is here btw..

Should i download service pack 1 and try again? :S
