Desktop Icons

I am in charge of a School District Network and have started working with GPO's. I would like everyones desktop to have My Computer, My Documents and Internet explorer show up. I know that I can go into Display Properties, Desktop, Customize Desktop and add the icons in. I was wondering if there was a shortcut to get the icons to appear, possibly a switch tp a classic veiw?

In the Users GPO:
Under Admin, Start Menu and Taskbar:

Prevent Changes to Start Menu and Taskbar Settings = Not Configured

Force Classic Start Menu = Enabled

Do Not Display Any Custom Toolbars in the Taskbar = Disabled
