desktop default location

how do i chagne the default location of my desktop. i got to bring my pc from the office home and my desktop used to be on the server as part of my network profile. now when i turn the pc on at home i get the error, unable to locate U: drive. any ideas. it boots all the way into windows and i can do just about anything i want other then drop icons on the desktop and save things to the desktop. os: windows xp pro

The default location of the desktop is C:\Windows\Desktop. (C is the drive letter, you may have it set differently)
