Dell XP

I've got a dell computer with the sticker that has the activation code on it but I don't have the dell XP install cd. You guys got any ideas of what I can do. I tried installing a XP Home with a disc I bought seperately but the activation code only works with a dell version.

right, I tried the code and it said it was invalid. On the sticker with the code it says its for Windows XP Home Dell. the sticker that came with the copy of XP I installed says Windows XP Home OEM. So I installed the XP OEM and entered the XP Dell code and it says it was invalid.

what you need to do then i call Microsoft and tell them you need a new code, tell them you had rebuilt your sytem which now requires a new code and they will give you a new code

I would contact Dell. I have heard of them sending out CDs if you never got one with your system:
