DELL LATITUDE PROBLEM

can somebody help me

i have a dell latitude ls series H500ST which was given to me by a friend

there is no operating system on the dell latitude so i bought an external cd rom to make an installation. when i connected the usb cd rom it does not identify the cd rom which means i cant install any operating system up till nw.


pls help me cuz i like the laptop but i cant use it..

Does the laptop have USB ports? If so, get on another computer and copy the installation files to a USB flash drive and boot from the USB port, usually you can do this by moving the 'USB Device' (or something like that) above the hard disk and CD drive and enable it. Reboot and try it, let me know how it works.

what do you mean by 'not identify'...
is the boot order in your BIOS right set up?

You can use unetbootin / windows usb download tool / ... to install some OS
(but set the boot order in the right sequence!)
