i've tried...

i've used a windows pro (non dell) and installed into my dell. It does n't work at all because there are some dell components that require Dell OS (windows home edition)

i want to install another version (not home) so how do i disable those dell component functions.

Look at DriverGuide.com

You don't need to register, just use Username: Drivers / Password: All

They have every driver in the world!
