Deleting files ...

A)Are the files on your hardrive or in the shared folder of anohter computer?

B)Are you logging in to your machine using an account with Admin rights?

C)When you delete the files you get an error that says Access Denied and thats it or does it say something else (give us the error word for word)?
 
The files are on the PC that i am logged in on (in the shared folder on my pc) and this folder is not shared over the network - and only shared with my girlfriend on this PC.

My account has admin rights - my girlfriends does not.
I am logged in from my account

The actual error message is :

if i right click a file and choose properties, I can see the read only box is not checked.
If i click delete. it comes up with the usual, are you sure box, then when you choose yes, after a couple of seconds i get :

Error Deleting File or Folder (box appear)
with contents of:
Cannot delete <filename>: Access is denied
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use
 
First try to cut files and paste them in a different directory. IF that doesnt work, I have a program at my house that allows files inuse to be deleted. When I get home, I will post the link for the download.
