Default Defragmenting ????

back in the day...i downloaded some program for defragmenting. The cool feature it had gave me the ability to place what programs ,in order of priority, are written closer to HD center making it read and subsequently load faster. I cannot find anything that has that. Does anyone know if anything like this exists now and what it is?

I don't know ... I use Diskeeper and I'm quite happy with it. I've never looked to see if it can do that or not, though. I just set it to run in the background and it keeps my HD defragged.

Get O&O Defrag Professional. I think its better than Diskeeper. Or get PerfectDisk, wich is also very good.
