I defrag my drives/partitions once a week generally. today i noticed one of the fragmented files is a 575mb .tmp file in 750 pieces. however, it can't be defragmented. whenever it tries, it says:
"Some files on this volume could not be defragmented.
Please check the defragmentation report for the list of these files."
the filename is wa180E34.tmp
is there any specific reason why this file can't be defragmented?
since it's a .tmp file, can I just delete it?
at such a large size, what could it possibly be from?
