Data Recovery software

Hey all. I accidentally screwed up my XP partition while installing mandrake and had to delete the partition, format and re-install windows.

Ive been looking for a data rcovery software that can get some small files back (like my GTA vice city save games) and have had no luck.

Anyone USED any data recovery software that actually works?

Well, im sure that the GTA save file is under 1mb, so its hould let me get that.

If that was all I got I would be ecstatic still.

I cant wait to get off work!

Well, I tried the ontrack one, and the only way it will find anything is if I put it in RAW data mode.

but even then, its only finding files with common extentions like .xls and .jpg

The savegame file for GTA Vice City is a ".b"

Oh well. I think Im just gonna start the game over.
