current file properties

Hello, 2 questions I have please.

If I'm working on a document, eg Excel, is there a way to know the path of the current file I'm working on? I would've thought if I goto the ribbon then recent documents it would be the top file there, but apparently that's not always the case

Secondly, even if I know the path its often too long to navigate to manually. Is there a way to open the directory in which the file I'm currently working on resides?

#1, press alt, F, A. this should open a save as window. it will open the current directory holding this file

#2, complete the steps above, navigate up one directory, right click the folder, and click open
