Default CS Freezes computer after alt tab

After I alt tab out of counter strike and go back in, my entire computer freezes, cant do anything,
Anyone have any suggestions
I can tell stats

Maybe a glitch in your video configuration? Check that one out.

That's typical.

There's always been a multitude of problems switching between Half-Life and the desktop (from losing sound, lag crashes, system restarts, etc.) It's not your fault or the game's, it's the way Windows deals with the instances of the desktop and the game.

It sucks, but that's pretty much "as is."
