Default Crazy Mouse

Hi Guys

I am new to this type of forum so if my computer speak is a bit off, you will understand why.

All of a sudden my mouse has thrown a bit of a wobbly! It is an optical mouse with a wheel. I always rely on the wheel for scrolling etc. As of yesterday it is jerky when I scroll, in other words as I scroll down a page it rolls over in waves instead of the normal glide. Also when I grab a window to move to the side of the screen it ripples or waves instead of the normal glide again.

I have gone into control panel and tweaked about in there but had no change. I am running Windows XP Home.

The only thing I could possibly put it down to is that I have been having problems installing and uninstalling certain programs after installing DVD Express and WinFast TV 2000 XP Deluxe. Is it possible that having a new driver installed aswell as new programs can cause a conflict somewhere, and if that is so then how and where do I go from here?

Any advice would be much appreciated!
