CPU Lags..

Hello, I have a problem with my desktop, the CPU just lags now and again constantly its worse when I'm watching a video and the video just lags and audio just stutters? Any ideas

Intel Pentium D 2.8GHz (Dual Core)
Nvidia GeForce 8400GS
1GB DDR2 RAM
Windows XP Home SP2

EDIT: I think i found the problem, i recently installed a D-Link DWA-142 Wireless USB Adapter and when I took that out the PC didn't lag.. But when i plugged it back in, it started lagging every couple of seconds?.. why is this?

Bad Drivers? Incompatible Drivers? Maybe the device is using to much power? We cant possibly answer without knowing every device that is hooked up along with the PSU in use.

I Just got drivers from the Site, and it now seems to be okay.
