Default CPU 99% idle but system REALLY slow

the computer gets all slow and chunky when i'm running azereus.. other times aswell.. it takes literally 20 sec to open a firefox window.. and its really frustrating because task manager says system is 95% idle... yet its still WAY slow.. i have scanned for spyware with adaware, SpybotSD, and microsoft antispyware.. and i use trendmicro for virus scanning..

Anyone have any ideas?

Azerus will be a massive system hog, depending on how connections and ports you allow, especially for programs like Firefox. You can expect your download and browsing speeds to suffer considerably if you use Azerus at the same time, depending on your connection.

Try going into the Azerus config and cutting back on the amount of connections it allows, then re-trying it. If that doesn't work, un-install Azerus and try and different BitTorrent client, such as U-Torrent. If that solves that problems, then its possible your version of Azerus was infected.

scan with ewido & spy sweeper
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
http://www.webroot.com/land/freescan...ad.php?rc=4257
update em before you scan , and if you cant access the sites or cant update then goto start-->run-->notepad c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and delete all entries except: 127.0.0.1 localhost , and save

when done scanning use hijackthis
