Your situation is different. Having a child makes having a old PC much more worth while. I have my old PC saved and ready for my daughter when she gets a bit older. That way she doesnt destroy my PC.
That is a totally different situation than what we are talking about here. He says he justs uses it for testing. VMWare is a much more worth while cause than to spend money on a 8 year old machine which probably cant even run XP efficently. So trying to test with it wont give accurate results.
That is why i agreed with Saxon to get rid of it. Now if he said that there was a child, i would fully agree with you. Save it for hte child to use and destroy every day. Saves you from having to fix your mian PC everyday.
