I have a Gateway GT5412 PC running windows Vista. The CD-ROM driver keeps failing to install properly with an error message saying it's missing, corrupt, or invalid. I have searched online for specific drivers and can't find any. I also copied drivers from the another computer (Same model) and tried installing those, but it still refuses to work.
The drive itself seems to be okay, it boots, and works properly in miniPE and Linux boots.
I can't find any manufacturer ID on the drive, but I believe it's a Phillips Lite-on (twas the manu given by a website) and the only model # I can find is DH16W1P
Halp Pls.
