Long story short, I need to re-image 600 laptops.

Problem - Images must be defragged prior to uploading to work efficiently. There is a huge block of "contiguous files" in disk defragmenter (as well as defraggler) that show up towards the end of the drive.

Required solution - Move contiguous files at the end of the drive towards the front as it does with most normal files during defragmenting. Defragmenter and Defraggler do not seem to move them. They must be moved.

How can I do this?

Sad part is they might not be able to be moved. Windows XP is known to put several system files at the end of the partition which cant be moved even with a Defrag.

Maybe one of the Defrags out there can do it, like O&O or something. But from what i know these files are marked as not to be moved.

Thanks Mak, for the answer.

Thanks Microsoft, for nothing.

Looks like I'll be redoing this master image. Weeeeeeeeee!
