my connection needs to be reset by disconnecting the power from my router... and it works again.. when its not working i go to status of my LAN connection and it shows a sending packet of 74 and a recieving of 0 i also go to ipconfig in the CMD/ and it shows my gateway and their is nothing there.. i am aware that you must set up a static ip adress? so windows doesnt have to search for this ip but im really not sure a write up would be appreciated

Try going about your normal routine without the router for awhile, if everything is fine after a day or two then you should buy a new router or we should look into reconfigureing it or updating its fireware.
