computer won't turn on

alright well my computer won't turn on.... I was playing gunbound and then my dsl modem turned off on accident... gunbound shut off and then there was an error in explorer.... So i turned it on and it said something about put in the windows startup thing and i didn't know what to do so i put in my hewlett packard restore cd's (crappy premade computer!) and then it said it couldn't read a file in it for some reason when the other day it worked perfectly fine. Now when I turn on my computer it just says put in a restore cd that works and the cd isn't even in the driver

put a windows install cdrom in and boot from it, then theres gonna be an option to restore ur system... follow the directions
