computer very slow

Hi Fellows..
I've been experiencing problem with this P4 1 gb ram PC...It' has become very slow lately.
I scanned through Ad-aware, and SPybot. They found threats ( some trojans too ) but they have got deleted. Now what is makin it die??? I can't even listen to music and surf web, it doesn't cooperate.

Edit: OS : Windows XP PRO SP3
- I had also done ComboFix, Smitfraud, and Vundo Scan. Nothing found in Vundo.

hi i think you might be as well to follow this first http://www.techist.com/forums/f51/spyware-removal-guide-osiris-updated-1-31-2009-a-165828/ and make sure your comp has been cleaned and check withe the guys in the security forum then come back if you still have problems

Mate don't waste your time, just format your pc and re install your OS, nothing works better than a fresh clean install.

No. No way. No how.

In the time it takes to do a fresh install you can be through the guide and have your system fully clean from any infection. Plus you dont have to go thru the trouble of reinstalling all of your software, setting up your preferences, or doing any other customizations.

A format is the LAST option. Always.
