Computer Time

Quick question, not sure if this is the right forum but i'll ask anyway... What would cause my computers time to run fast. I have a p4 2.6, I have seen them run slow due to bad cmos battery but never fast... Any
ideas??

What do you mean by running fast? And how do you know it's running fast?

well i am not a rocket scientist here but i am going to guess what he means is that say today, you have three clocks that say 2:00 p.m. which your computer also reads. two days later, the three clocks all read 2:00 p.m. but his computer reads 2:05 p.m.
no idea how to fix it though

it just seems to be a few mins fast every now and again, very annoying though b/c this computer is my tv tuner

changed where you get the time s from in time and date properties. change it to time.nist.gov
