I understand the most common ways of communication are

Email, MSN, AIM, Yahoo!, ICQ, IRC, GoogleTalk, etc.


But then there is also a program that allows for voice chat and can even connect to phone lines. I don't trust skype as it's made by the founders of Kazaa and you also have to pay. Is there a program that allows you to connect to a cell phone from your PC with no charge. I must get into contact with my uncle who's in China before thanksgiving.
