Question Computer takes long to boot up

Hi,

I started playing around with my startup options and I minimized them to what I needed but now my computer takes about 3 minutes to boot up when before it would take about 90 seconds. I'm running a P4 1.6 with 768mb RAM with XP SP2. I downloaded Microsoft Boot Vis but I don't really know how to use it. There is an optimization function but don't want to try that just yet. I'm pretty sure my computer is spyware free and virus free because I am running Norton Internet Security with Spybot. I clean my registry with jv 16 Power Tools so I don't know why it's slow. I noticed that it was slower after I ran Norton Speed Disk. Norton took over 6 hours to defrag a 40 gb hard disk which I thought was very, very long and unusual. Any help would be appreciated. Here's a Hijack This logfile:

I doubt that it's Norton because it was already installed on my computer when it was taking about 90 seconds to start up. I am not on my computer at home so I can't run msconfig but I can tell you that I have the bare minimum of startups. In fact, I the problems started about a week after I minimized my startups and cleaned my registry. My Norton expires in less than 4 weeks and I will buy Zone Alarm Security Suite, but I digress. I ran Boot Vis and it says that my boot up ends at 138 seconds but it still takes another 40 seconds before my computer stops loading things. Ghost is not installed.

did you shut off any services?

try starting in safe mode and see if it still does it. Do a system restore to before you made these changes.

check for spyware.

Thats the #1 cause of slow boot-ups.

There is no spyware or virus and I defragmented my drive but still slow boot ups. I did turn off some services but can't remember exactly which ones because I'm not on my computer. I will try a startup in Safe Mode and then see what services I should re-enable.

Here's my msconfig. Don't know what the unnamed entry is. Startup in Safe Mode is faster but I can't do a system restore because I don't have a restore point from when my system was starting up well.
