Computer keeps freezing randomly

Hello,

Sorry if this is in the wrong area of the forums, if it is, please feel free to move it.

I have recently built a new computer with Windows 8, the specs are

AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8350 Black Edition 4.00GHz (Socket AM3+) Processor

Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7850 OC Windforce 2X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 AMD 970 (Socket AM3+) DDR3 ATX Motherboard

Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

I am having problems where my computer will just suddenly freeze up and I wont be able to do anything. I wont get a blue screen of death the majority of the time, however, when I open up some software called Speccy to check my system temperatures, I get a BSOD.

It never crashes when I'm playing games, but I don't seem to get very good FPS on games such as Guild wars 2.

I have tried to fix this problem by doing things such as memtest, changing RAM timings, moving the RAM around in to different sockets, buying a new hard-drive, buying a new power supply and reinstalling drivers.

I am almost certain it isn't a hardware problem, which is why I'm posting in this section. Any help would be brilliant. I am able to give the .dmp files from the blue screens if needed. I can also give the information from the Windows event logs.

Thank you

So give the info from the BSoD's and the Event Viewer. You havent said or described anything that points to Windows.

My friend made this thread for me while i was cooking my lunch, I fear this may have been better placed in the hardware and troubleshooting area but it seems to be a software related issue and this is the only software topic that may relate. The BSoD is a driver verifier violation detected message but I've never had time to write the full code, I only get this when running speccy and it happens when it is detecting the CPU temperature. I've turned on the driver verifier software because I was testing to see if it was my drivers.
The event log has a few errors per crash. Most recently:

I think that's all of them for the one crash, there where some "WHEA Loggers 19" about 8-20 minutes before this though, not sure what they are or if they are related.

Thanks

You have a set of bad drivers. Both of those crashes are related to drivers. Have you checked for updated drivers lately or have any updated lately? I would check for newer drivers and if any have updated, roll them back.

Well, I thought I had the newest drivers as I got them directly from the respective websites but you were right of course. I installed a driver updating software and that just updated my graphics drivers (which annoyingly i tried updating myself about 5 times) and that solved the problem straight away it seems. Speccy no longer crashes my computer and GW2 is running at a solid 60 fps with full graphics. Let's just hope it stops crashing completely at random times.
Should hopefully be sorted,
thank you very much
:)

It has been working fine since my last post but I just had a crash while playing Guild wars 2. There's been a lot of errors and warnings in the event logger though, not sure what are commonly occuring ones and which are actually problematic.
The errors include: more "WHEA-Loggers" "Search" "ESENT" "Service Control Manager" "LoadPerf" "Eventlog" and a "Kernel Power"- obviosuly from where i had to hold the button to turn it off.
I can give the details for these but there's so many i figured it may be best to ask which ones I should post and which are irrelevant.
I've included a screenshot (I hope) that may help
Thanks again.

I will need a detailed output of those errors in order to be able to give more input on them. If you want to just take screen shots again, that is fine. I just dont know each error off hand. But I can read the detailed output and give you more information.

I read somewhere before that apparently audio drivers can fight each other if you have more than one enabled at once, and i realised that the crash i had yesterday only happened after i started playing music on youtube. Disabled ones of those drivers and now all seems to be fine.
If I have any more problems will give you the details of the event logs but hopefully now my computer should run smoothly.
Cheers for the continued responses,
Dave

Right so I'm still having problems so here are the details of the newest errors:
