Angry Computer getting really slow

Recently, my computer has been running really slow and making alot of noise when processing.

P4 2.8 Ghz HT
512 Ram
nVidia FX5200

I'm sure its not the virus/spyware that is causing the problem because I've ran Adware, Spywarebot, Nortons Virus, AVG Virus, Ahn Virus - all of those.

When I open a browser, it would make the processing sound really loud and it won't pop up till like 10 seconds. Then it will go white then it will start to load.

I've tried defragmenting but never really got that finished.
Been running defragmentor for 5 hours+, only 44%...

Any suggestion to how to fix my computer?

Thanks alot

defragment, scan for virusses, scan for spyware, do it in that order for best results

Dont forget to clean out unwanted/old programs from the machine. When stuff starts slowing, its house keeping time.
