Default Complete System Restore

I plan on formating my HD from dos and installing windows xp pro again so that it runs crisp like it did when i first installed it.

1) All i have to do is formate then install simple as that right?

2) Is there any way to setup a complete system restore so as things progress on my computer i can resume this spot and it restores my system (even getting rid of all the files that i installed) and it will be identical to a fresh install with just the programs i had on it when i set the "restore point"

Send a message via AIM to Pavlyk

1) Format and install simple? I am not sure how you interpret "simple", but make sure after you reformat to set the bios to boot from the xp cd to setup.

2)No i don't think that's possible

There are certain programs that can create images of your harddrive at specific states.

I personally use Power Quest Drive Image and Norton Ghost, but there are others out there.

These aren't free utilities though.

Good luck!

Its a frigging Laptop, not a Labtop!!!!
