When i switched from xp style back to classical style i noticed that when i restarted, the windows logon box appeared to be in xp style, I know I have seen this box in classical view before, in xp home. Any ideas?

The Windows Logon Prompt will look a little different even if you change the theme to classic. It will not have the "Fisher Price" look but.. it won't look like a Windows 2k prompt. either.

When i mean classical i mean the win 98 and NT Syle login, when I changed to the "classical theme" i went to control pannel and disabled the welcome screen. below is a photo of the xp themed one, i want the classical theme logon box.

The welcome screen and the XP log on (which I prefer to the other) are the only two options we have with XP. Liz

well im pretty shure that you can't because when you set a theme in your name it isint kept after you logout it reverts to normal theme

You can.

You will loose any theme capability in XP though:

Start>run>
type: "services.msc"

rightclick the "Themes" service> properties and disable it.
