Hello,
I did search the forum and couldn't find an answer to my question. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.
I recently bought a 500GB SATA hard drive(J:) to replace my 30GB IDE hard drive(C:) in which the computer boots up from. I used Norton Ghost to copy my C: drive to my J: drive which I was then able to boot the computer from. However, none of the programs will work due to the program paths being associated with the C: drive, not the J: drive. My internet also doesn't work when being booted up using the J: drive, and i'm guessing this is the reason why.
Therefore, my question is, is it possible to swap these drive letters? I have PartitionMagic 8 but I haven't tried it due to being afraid that i'll mess something up.
My only other option is to make a fresh OS installation onto my J: drive, but that means reinstalling every single program onto my computer again, and i'll also lose my current settings which took a while to configure.
Thank you in advance.
