Changing OS's

I'm currently in the process of switching my computer OS's around..I just bought all my parts for my new computer and i was wondering if i can take the XP Professional i have on my old computer and put it on my new computer..im picking up xp home edition so i can give the computer to my sister..i think that i just have to take the new xp home edition and reformat the hard drive with it and have that activated with the new cd key so i can put the professional on my new computer..ty

Pretty much. Just boot the old computer off of the WinXP Home CD, and delete the WinXP Pro partition. Create a new partition and format it to put WinXP Home on it. Then you can boot your new computer off of the WinXP Pro CD and install it.

Does anyone know the name of the program where it will tell you what your OS Cd Key's is.

AIDA32 will.

Download, install, and once in, look at the Licenses Section, it will have your XP Key, your Office, and whatever else.
