Question Changing file systems

Hi all
I would like to know if chanign the file system from FAT32 to NTFS will result in the lost of data in that harddrive.
I will be using the command
Command prompt "convert c: /fs:ntfs" (no quotes)

thanks all

Converting your file system should erase all your files. You might want to check this link

No, it does not erase files, but you need to make a backup of all your files before you do so.

Of course it's better to format the drive first. (lose all data)

You need to be running an NT based OS to use it and for the average home user, there's not much benefit to be gained in the first place.
