Default changing directory in dos shell

hello

if in the dos shell, i am in the c:\documents and settings\roger

i want to go to e:\work\programming

how do i do that

i tried cd e:/work/programming and cd e|work\programming and they both dont work

First type

E: (push enter)
Then type

cd \work\programming

And there you have it

No, it doesn't work that way with the CD command.
