all cd burner has a compact disc rewritable stamp on them. you have a cd rom

So if I want to cut and Paste from desktop or anywhere on the PC to the CD Drive, I need to toss and replace it. Right?

Yep. They are cheap. You can get a 56x32x56 CDRW for $50.

$50!!! brand new for about $30 au average. $5-$20 AU secondhand if you know where to look but i think american cities are a lot different to my little city.
