CDR101: Not ready reading drive E ?? WTF?!?

I just formatted my computer, and now I wanna install windows xp, but I get this message at the promp screen, after I type "install" at e:
CDR101: Not ready reading drive E
Abort, Retry, Fail?

I even changed cd-rom thinking it was broken, but I still get the same message. I absolutely NEED this computer. I tried google and saw other people with the same problem, but no apparent solution.
A cry for help!!

What do you have for drive d? Is d another hard drive or a different cdrom? If it is a different cdrom try that one. d is the default optical drive letter.

OMG!!! It was because of the CD, scratches! SOrry. And thanks for everyones help!!
