It is slow for playing HD video, but it works fine.

I don't know the official specifications, but its basically video with very high resolution. WMP will do fine if you have a fast computer. It also depends on the compression format. I tried playing a HD quality HD file (.wmv) and it didn't play smooth in WMP but it did play smooth in PicaView (except for the sound).
