Here's the problem: Burned some .jpg files to a CD on a machine running Windows 2000. Opened the CD to make sure the files could be viewed. Took the CD to multiple Windows XP machines and the CD cannot be read. Normally this locks up Windows XP.

I've tried to get a solution to this before, other than getting the tightwads in charge of the money to buy a burner for the XP machines or to upgrade the 2000 machines to XP.

Thanks!

Thanks for the replies so far. Used CD-R's from Staples. Standard CD-R 700MB 80 min. Will check out the brand of the CD burner in the boss' computers and post again.

erm, i'm betting that it's something wrong with your burner.. as CD R supposed to be one of the most multiplatform format :p... especially when your only using different versions of windows.. try a trail of Nero?
