Default cd burner problem

i have a creative CDRW 32*12*40 burner with a LG 8x dvd rom drive. So far i have been using nero 6.3 and everything was fine, but now when i try to copy a cd, when the creative is reading the disk to image, it slows down, then stops because of an unrecoverable error. ive tried reading of the DVD rom, and trying different disks, and even reinstalling nero but nothing fixes the problem

waynejkruse10,

In that case, try some other burning software. If the CD can be copied with that software, well and good.! But if not, umm... might be the OS or even problem with the CD/DVD ROM drivers.

I cant think of anythin else....

waynejkruse10,

Try to reduce the speed [CD/DVD] and copy again.
And also reinstall your windows aspi drivers [they may be corrupted]. You can get aspi for windows Xp from the following link.
http://download.adaptec.com/software...aspi_471a2.exe

This is a good program to copy stuff from cd/dvd roms particularly.
