Cassettes to CD

Project this weekend: Transfer audio cassettes to CD

I hooked up my stereo/cassette deck to my computer using a
Y-RCA ( L/R line out to Line In in the computer). Now, what software do I need to use? I have Roxio 6, Dell Musicmatch Jukebox, Sonic Record now preinstalled in my computer. Will any of these do the trick?

Any type of program used to record sound will suffice. For best quality, get something that is (or close to) the industry standard for recording. Like Acid Pro or Cakewalk or something of that sort.

U already have more than one app that can do the trick ...

Use each one of 'em ..then decide which one gives u the best quality n' which one has the best ease of use

OK, how do I start? This is my first time doing it.

Just startup the the application .. select record on wave studio .. select recording device as Line in...
Adjust recording volume...

That's 'bout it .. once ur done ...save the file as Mp3 ... Later burn the tracks on to disk
