Default can't run msdos under winxp

I usually like to use msdos under winxp but one day I try to use it again, it said it has disable by admin, so I went into safe mode then try to use admin power to renable it, but I enable everything in service pannel, it still don't work, anyone know how to enable it

it's DR-dos in xp and it isn't the underlayment of the system like win 98 is

well, something u would like to use dos, windows don't do all things for you, what is DR-dos anyway ? when u install the winxp the you get the comman prompt too right ? how I renable it ?

XP is completely independant of DOS. it's the second Microsoft OS to be so, after 2000.
it only has a DOS emulator

Download DOS Box or boot from a floppy.
