Cant open Vista's Sidebar??

Hey i came home and someone x'd out my windows Sidebar and now i cant open it...i tried to research it and i found nothing...i double click the sidebar application and it does nothing...this has happened to be once before but vista had like a major update or something and when i updated it...windows sidebar magically reappeared...

Does anyone know how to open it? i kinda miss it = (

Try typing it in start menu search

i told you i try to open it and nothing at ALL happens...swear my computer has Down Syndrome..

Isn't there a windows sidebar icon in your control panal ?

yes..thats just for the properties of it though...the "start windows sidebar when windows starts up" is checked but it never comes up when i retarted my computer...= \

Everything I have found in searching relates to installing gadgets or gadgets not fully installed have you downloaded any gadgets for it lately ? I found this on m$
A gadget that you downloaded from the Internet is not installed correctly and does not appear in the Windows Sidebar in Windows Vista

Have you tried restoring it to a prevrious verson

idk how to do that...and i cant system restore b/c apparently today is the only restore point..........-.-

SSstarman has a fix not sure if it will sort out your problem but has apparently worked for others
