Can't open recovered .doc and .xls files recovered with GetDataBack

you can probably fix it with this, but I forget what was the method that you used. I also know that you need to fix it on the original drive with this. I once use this to fix recovered corrupt file that were unreadable. I run checkdisk after I use this. I got this method from somebody on the internet (through google). I just don't remember it

I think that you need the original drive to do it.

they said I didnt. so I tried and no luck....
