Cant move item to desktop! Help ASAP!!

I was just wondering, because there's a setting to hide desktop icons. What version of Winrar are you using? The version you are using should to be equal to or later then the version that created the file. What does Winrar's test function have to say about the file?

downloaded the newest one off rarlabs and no problems after test

Try extracting to a folder using rather than the desktop.

did. doesnt extract anywhere.. i did an extract folder thing but it just put an extracted folder on my desktop. no files

What does Info say about the file in Winrar. It may be you were sent an empty folder. I'm at a loss as to why a file isn't extracted.

have you checked your anti virus quarantine? maybe his computer is infected. or possibly try the verse, you remote into his machine using teamviewer and grab the file.

or use a free service like mediafire.

it cant be empty, its an executable file and hes on vacation now for over a week. this is a sorta important thing.
