Can't login to encrypted sites

Hi, I'm having trouble logging into any sort of encrypted sites from my home computer. For instance logging into BankOne from my office computer I have no problems, but when I try to login from home I can't get through. It says "this page cannot be displayed."

I am using a router to connect to the internet, so could it be that it is blocking the sites from accessing a cookie on my machine? Besides my router I do not have a firewall program, or anything else that I think could be blocking me.

Check the settings on your browser, as well as the settings on your router's firewall. If something is blocking your cookies, most likely it is one of them.

I'd download a software firewall to use in addition to the hardware one. you can never be too safe.

Workaround

Well, atleast I found a good work around - I downloaded Firefox, and its working just fine.

I'll take your advice and get a software firewall.
