I'm running XP Home (at home) on 2GHz reburb'd Dell Dimension 8200. I tried to log on to my Administrator account for the first time in a long while, yesterday, and got this message: Unable to log on because of an account restriction. I thought maybe my pw had expired, but not so. I logged on to another user account with Administrative privileges, and changed the Administrator pw at the command prompt successfully, logged back off, but still got the same error message logging on as Administrator. The account is active, has no age limit on the password, and no minimum length. Any suggestions about what has happenned?
HELP!

Thanks! I have been messing with msconfig, and have it running at each startup. That probably explains it.
I'll try shutting off msconfig, and see if that clears it. If not, I'll try safe mode. I use XP Pro most of the time and didn't know about the different behavior of Home.
