I had a windows 98 on a computer
I inserted the XP CD and changed the boot sequence
I deleted all partitions and created 2 new partitions
each one is half the size of the HD.
I installed XP through the dos installation and when I rebooted I changed the boot sequence back but it says "NTLDR not found" or "invalid disk ...."
although I tried almost every possible boot sequence
so I tried installing it in the other partition on FAT 32 but it didn't worked either.
what should I do?

Please explain how you formatted and partitioned your hdd. What did you use?Did you try leaving the cd in during the boot sequence after XP was installed?

If you already installed it like I think you did use the XP Cd and run a repair on the OS. It will add the missing file.

don't change the boot sequence until you are done installing xp. you confused the machine. you have to start over

I'll give it a go.
although I formatted other computers a few times and I don't remember this problem
