Default Cant delete icon off desktop!

I have an icon on my desktop (an exe file) and it won't delete because "it is in use by another person or program".

I have ran many spyware scans, and virus scans, and its not detected. Anyone know how i can delete it?

Go to start, run, type msconfig, disable all startup items items, reboot, delete.

Open task manager, stop the process or process tree, delete.

Reboot, go in safemode, delete.

Rename the file to whatever you want, delete, or reboot then delete.

See which one works, if any

download http://www.sysinternals.com/Files/ProcessExplorerNt.zip
then run that. You can search for the file name in there, and find the running process that uses it. Then you can kill it.

Best program you could ask for... for this kind of thing...
