i have win xp and when i start it up regular or in safe mode it gives me a blue screen that says that i have to restart and if it still gives me the same screen to disable my firewall and a few other programs. but i cant boot up any ideas

disconnect all xtra hardware (floppy, cdrom, soundcard, scanners, printers, etc). I dont think thats the issue, since it happens going into safe mode, but its a start.

that blue screen usually apears due to hardware error if ur computers been working b4 did u recently add anything to it hardware not software

That's incorrect ...G..whatever your name is... (Interesting name for a handle by the way... really thought hard about that one eh? LOL).

BSODs can be cause by either software/hardware issues.
