Default Can't Access My Computer

Hi,
Whenever I try to access 'my computer', it brings up a blue screen saying I must press any key to continue, or control alt delete to restart, then it freezes, I can't do anything, I am left with the only choice of pressing the restart button on the computer. A similar thing happens, when I try to search for anything, only it does not do anything, jusst freezes as it is, and once again, the only thing I can do is press restart. I have done a virus check and spyware check, and both came clean.
The computer is a celeron 2.4Ghz, with windows 98SE, my anti-virus program is AVG, and anti spyware is Spybot.
Any help is greatly appreciated, and if you need any information, just ask.
Thanks
Dnoch

I opened my computer, and this time wrote down the exact error:
Quote:
Error Message
An exception OE has occurred at 0028:00770076 in V*D ---, This was called from 0028:C1839280 in V*D voltrack (04) +00000430.
It is possible to continue normally.
* Press any key to continue
* Press CTRL + ALT + DEL to restart your computer, you will lose any unsaved information in all applications

Thanks for the reply, but I did not see my error in the list on the page you posted.

I'd recommend using the recovery console on your XP disc.

Ill try that, but I don't think his error has anything to do with mine.
